I am planning a visit. What should I expect Sunday morning?
How do I get there?
We are located in Anniston, AL at 520 Golden Springs Rd. Sunday school is held in the Media Center, the Family Life Center, and also our new building. This Map shows the property as well as the surrounding roads. There is also a link for travel directions.
Where do I park?
All parking is on the church property and there is designated visitor parking located near the entrance of the of the church. There is parking in front of this building as well as the Family Life Center.
What do I bring?
Bring yourself and maybe a Bible if you wish to follow along with the readings on your own.
When do I need to arrive?
Sunday School begins at 9:30 am and the worship service follows at 10:30 am. Come a few minutes early to park, meet and greet and stop by the Connecting Point to pick up your gift from us.
What do adults wear?
You are welcome to wear whatever you are comfortable in. Members often describe the dress code as "business casual," but some people wear their "Sunday Best," while others wear jeans.
What do children wear?
Children should wear comfortable clothes. During Sunday School they may spend time playing on the carpeted floor, or work with art supplies. Sometimes they may even go outside.
Do I have to check in at the Connecting Point?
Our Connecting Point is staffed by a member and is designed to help you feel welcome on your first visit to our church. We offer information packets on various topics, general church information, and copies of newsletters. we also offer a continental breakfast every Sunday Morning for you and your family. While we would love for you to visit the Connecting Point, we respect that you may prefer to attend our service in private.
What is the service like?
The 10:30 worship service is a contemporary service with praise and worship, prayer time and a sermon.
Music – We are privileged to have a live band to lead the music. The words to most all of the praise and worship song appear on the overhead screens. Feel free to join in singing if you like.
Sermon – Our pastor delivers a sermon each week, with occasional guest speakers. Sermons are sometimes based on a theme that may span several Sundays, but also many times there are those that will stand on their own. Feel free to visit the Sermon section of this site to listen to past sermons.
Tithe & Offering
Tithe and offering is taken up during the service, but you do not have to feel obligated to give. We do like to encourage it, however, because we believe that you will be greatly blessed. Do not feel though that you would be the only one not placing anything in the offering plate, since many of our members give monthly or some other schedule and do not place an offering in the plate each week.
Communion
On the fifth Sunday of the month we hold communion. You do not need to be a member of the church to participate nor do you need to feel obligated to participate.
May our child stay with us during the service?
Yes, but children are also invited to attend our Children's Worship Service which is held in the Kidz Praize Central during the worship hour. A nursery is also provided for ages 0-2½.
Is your church accessible to people in wheelchairs?
Yes. We have handicapped parking spaces as well as handicap restrooms. Also, an usher would be more than happy to fix a the chairs in the sanctuary where a wheel chair user can sit along side others in a pew without feeling in the way or on display. This is a quick and easy task. |
