Employment History:
As an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God, Jerry Irwin has a rich heritage in ministry as the son and grandson of Pastors in the Church of God. Bishop Irwin has served the national church as a State Evangelist, State Administrator, and Senior Pastor. He has also had the honor of serving on the National Pastors Advisory Board, General Media Ministries Board, State Council in Alabama, State Youth Board, State Evangelism Board and District Overseer for the past twenty years. Pastor has been and is currently a sought-after featured speaker at many State Camp Meetings, Prayer Conferences, Evangelism and Church Growth Conferences around the country.
Because of a strong vision to preach to every available person, Pastor Irwin began a television ministry that is now known as HMTV. This media ministry has grown to national prominence.
Pastor is featured weekly on his television program “Power Living” which can be seen around the world on TBN’s “The Church Channel”.
God has richly blessed Harvest through television and the preaching ministry of our Pastor. The vision is now being brought forth on 38 acres of the fastest growing area of the city of Anniston on a main artery into the city. Currently, we are in the process of building a multi-million dollar 2,500 seat auditorium on the property in addition to the current facilities. God has brought Harvest a long way from a small congregation to a congregation of over a thousand. We give God all the glory!
How I came to Christ:
As a teenage boy I accepted Jesus when I felt a vacancy in my heart that would not be satisfied in any other way. Baseball was a major part of my life and I was considering pursuing it for a career when I realized I could not resist the call to preach. I put my bat down and picked up the Bible!
Things the Lord is teaching me:
Patience, understanding and wisdom!
Interests/Hobbies:
Fishing and golfing. Golfing and fishing… not necessarily in that order! |
